1. General

   1. Digital Blinc Technologies Private Limited (“We”, “Our”, “Us”) take Your (“You”, “Your”, “User”) privacy seriously, and are committed to protecting the information that You share with Us.
   2. You agree that Your use of this website www.blinctrip.com, including the mobile site, mobile application or any other such feature or platform (collectively “Our Website/ Website”) indicates Your consent to the collection, retention and use of Your information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy/ Policy”).
   3. We may revise, update or modify any part of this Privacy Policy, for any reason. All changes are effective immediately when We post them on Our Website. Your continued use of Our Website following the posting of a modified Policy, will show that You unequivocally accept and agree to any changes. You are expected to review the Policy periodically for changes, as they are binding on You.
   4. Access to the Website is conditional upon Your approval of this Privacy Policy which should be read together with Our Terms of Use, Terms of Service, and/ or any other Policy notified on Our Website (collectively referred to as “the Agreement”).

2. The scope of this policy

   1. This Policy applies to all information that We may collect from You, regardless of the manner in which the information is collected.
   2. However, You may provide information to be posted, published or displayed on public areas of the Website, or transmitted to other users of the Website or third parties (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at Your own risk, and are not subject to any protection that You may be entitled to under this Policy. Additionally, We cannot control the actions of other users of the Website with whom You may choose to share Your User Contributions. Therefore, We cannot and do not guarantee that Your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorised persons.
   3. We can speak only for Ourselves. This Policy does not cover the collection or use of Your information by any of the airlines, hotels, car rental companies or other travel related companies (hereafter collectively referred to as "Travel Suppliers") We feature. That means when You make a booking with a Travel Supplier, Your information will be processed by them in accordance with their own privacy Policy and terms and conditions, which are not under Our Control.
   4. Similarly, We have onboarded various Third-Party Service Providers to provide You with an easy and hassle-free experience, and also contains links to various third party websites. For instance, You can log into Our Website through Your Google, Outlook or Yahoo accounts; or make payment for a booking through Your Bank. If You use any such Third Party Service, Your information will be processed by them in accordance with their own privacy Policy and terms and conditions, which are not under Our Control.

3. What information do we collect

   1. In order to permit You to access Our Website/ provide Our Services, We may save, collect or process the following information in the manner specified. Some of this information is “Personal Information”, which refers to any information that could be used to identify You:
      • Contact information such as Your name, email ID, mobile number and other contact details
      • If You choose to register with Us, Your password to Your Blinctrip account.
      • Demographic information such as the title You are addressed by, Gender, Age, Date of Birth, Your time zone, Your postal address and location details.
      • If You choose a third-party login service to register or log in, Your name, age, gender, photograph, and other personal information relating to Your third party account.
      • Your contacts or any other information of people You add to, or notify of, Your reservations or itineraries through Our Website.
      • Identification Information including Passport, or any other ID, and all the information set out in that ID.
      • Booking details, relating to You or any person You make a booking for. This includes name, age, date of birth, gender, identification information, email address, contact number, PNR Number, payment details, billing address, seating preferences, other traveller’s information, itinerary, airline loyalty membership details, GSTIN details and other similar information. This may also include sensitive personal information such as dietary requirements, health details or sexual orientation (when You provide Us with details about Your partner).
      • Your credit card/ debit card or UPI details (in encrypted form), should You use it to make a booking or when You choose to save such details on Our Website. However, We do not store or process Your bank account information or Your CVV details.
      • Your IP addresses; Domain servers; Browser Type,
      • Other information with respect to Your device, its make, model, its settings, operating system, screen resolution, and the interaction of Your device with the Website and applications
      • Any data or functionality that You grant Us access to, through Your device settings, including specific location data based on GPS data from Your mobile device.; access to Your calendar; camera and photos, contacts or storage.
      • Your Blinctrip search history, booking history or travel preferences;
      • How You have interacted with Our Website, including time You spend on Our Website and the pages, features or functionality You have accessed
      • If You sign up for the synchronisation of Your emails to Our Trips/My Trips service, You authorise Us to access the emails in the email accounts You have connected to Your ticketing and travel information, to regularly review these emails in order to identify those that are booking confirmations that We can import into Our Trips/My Trips service, to parse these emails automatically or manually add the information We have collected to Your Trips/My Trips account
      • Mobile analytics to understand the functionality of Our mobile applications and software on Your device.
      • Links You have clicked on to be redirected to or from Our Website, including the identity of the Travel Supplier/ Third Party Service provider You are redirecting to and the type of travel service You have selected;
      • When You have been redirected to a Travel Supplier’s website or app for the purposes of completing a booking, We may collect information from that Service Provider about whether and what You went on to book with them.
      • If You choose to participate in a promotion, contest, or similar campaign, We will collect any information You provide in relation to such activity.
      • We also collect the content You create, upload, or receive from others when using Our services (i.e Your User Contributions). However, such User Contributions are not entitled to any protections under this Policy
      • Any other information, You provide about Yourself or others through Our Website or via access through Third-Party Service Providers.
   2. All information You share with Us is hereinafter collectively referred to as “User Information”

4. How do we collect user information?

   1. We collect User Information, including Personal Information through any or all of the following means:
      • Directly from You when You give it to Us voluntarily, including when You register on Our Website, conduct a Search on Our Website, make a booking, post any material, or contact/ correspond with Us in any manner;
      • When You give Us the permission to access any information or functionality through Your device settings;
      • Automatically, as You access Our Website or otherwise;
      • When You interact with Travel Suppliers or Third Party Service Providers featured on Our Website;
      • When You interact with Our advertising and applications on Third-party websites and Services, if those applications or advertising link to Our Website.

5. How do we use such information?

   1. We use/process User Information, including Personal Information, You provide to:
      • To allow You to access Our Website and use Our services
      • To authenticate Your account credentials and identify You, so that Your access to the same is safe and secure.
      • To display and personalise travel-related information such as availability and pricing of flights and hotels;
      • To enable You to make bookings/ reservations with the Travel Suppliers;
      • To process Your payment information;
      • To confirm Your booking either via email or SMS or WhatsApp or push notifications or any other communication service, chosen by You.
      • To update You of any changes in Your bookings or reservations.
      • To send You information services and administrative emails, or other notices required by law
      • To compile Your travel related information for Your record and ready Access;
      • To provide You with any other information, products or services in terms of the Agreement.
      • To respond to, or follow up on, Your comments and questions; and otherwise provide customer service. With Your consent, where required, We may contact You on the mobile number that You provide to Us by way of direct calls, autodialed and pre-recorded messages/ calls, and text messages (including WhatsApp messages) in connection with providing customer service.
      • To otherwise communicate with You, including through Our customer service agents.
      • To analyse Your travel interest, and Your engagement with Our Website
      • To personalise and customise Our services for You, including by providing recommendations, personalised content, customised search results or special promotions/ offers.
      • To provide personalised advertising based on Your interests to You on Our Website, or through any other channels of communication We are authorised to use to communicate with You
      • To manage Our relationship with advertisers and partners;
      • To conduct optional surveys to understand Your opinions and comments.
      • To understand and analyse how Our services are used, for purposes of product, website, application and service development and to enhance Your experience
      • To aid strategic development, data collection and business analytics;
      • To audit usage of Our Website;
      • To enhance user experience in relation to Our Website
      • To manage and maintain Our security systems, including by identifying fraudulent activity
      • To ensure compliance with the applicable law and/or the Agreement
      • To carry out Our obligations and enforce Our rights arising from any contracts entered into between You and Us, including for billing and collection.
      • To notify You about changes to Our Website or any products or services We offer
      • To allow You to participate in interactive features on Our Website
      • For any other purpose, with Your consent

6. When do we share information?

   1. We may disclose Your User Information to Our affiliates and group companies, for legitimate business purposes (including operating Our Website, and providing services to You), in accordance with applicable law.
   2. We may share Your credit card/ debit card or other payment details any Third Party Services or interface, exclusively for the purpose of processing the payments made by You. We do not share Your credit card/ debit card or other payment details for any other purpose, other than with Your explicit consent. All payments made through our platform are in compliance with the guidelines prescribed by the RBI from time to time. Registration of a card on our platform can only be done with Your explicit prior permission.
   3. In addition, We may disclose User Information for legitimate business purposes to the following third parties:
      • Any Travel Suppliers such as an Airline, Hotels, or travel wholesalers or booking agents. By booking a flight/ hotel with Us, You are authorizing Us to share User Information with such parties;
      • Any Third Party Service Providers, such as analytics providers; maps providers, data centres; other IT based solutions, advertising service companies or any other service-providers, for the purpose of enabling them to assist Us in providing Our services to You. For instance, if We use a Third Party Service provider to send SMSes to You, We may share Your phone number with them;
      • If We promote a program or offer a service or product in conjunction with a third-party business partner, We will share Your information with that partner to assist in marketing or to provide the associated product or service. In most of those cases, the program or offer will include the name of the third-party business partner, either alone or with ours, or You will be redirected to the website of that business with notice. An example of such a business-partner relationship would be a third-party loyalty program for which You could earn points by completing a booking on Our Website;
      • When You use a co-branded service (a service operated with a Our partner ), or register or otherwise provide information on a co-branded site, You grant Us permission to pass the collected information back to that partner, which may include Third Party Service Providers whose services are embedded into and/or appear within Our Website;
      • We may share Your Personal Information in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, assignments or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of insolvency. In the case of any acquisition, We will inform the buyer it must use Your Personal Information only for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy;
      • Outside professional advisors (such as accountants, auditors, or lawyers), subject to binding contractual obligations of confidentiality;
      • Any relevant party to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues;
      • Any relevant party, law enforcement agency or court, to the extent necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of Our rights.
   4. When We share information with Travel Suppliers or Third Party Service Providers, We do not authorise them to Use Your information for any other purpose except to provide their part of service. However, how the Travel Suppliers or Third Party Service Providers actually use the information shared with them is beyond Our purview and hence We are not responsible or liable for the same. You are therefore advised to review the privacy policies of the respective service provider or supplier whose services You choose to avail.
   5. We may also disclose User Information, including sensitive information such as payment instrument details, under the following circumstances:
      • If the Information is required to comply with a court order or other legal process;
      • If legal and regulatory authorities request for such Information or if it is required for the purposes of reporting any actual or suspected breach of applicable law or regulation;
      • If We believe that it is necessary to do so to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Our Website and/ or Our Users.
   6. We also anonymise or aggregate User Information, in whichever manner collected, to produce general statistics that cannot be linked to You or any other specific user. Information that has been aggregated and de-identified is no longer considered “Personal Information” and may be subsequently used for any purpose.

7. Cookies

   1. We use Cookies to personalise Your experience on the Website and the advertisements that maybe displayed to You. Our Cookies are similar to those used by other online companies or websites

      • We may also use Cookies to make advertising more engaging to users and more valuable to publishers and advertisers. Such Cookies are used for purposes of tracking the effectiveness of advertising placed by Us on any website, including whether You view or click on ads that are shown to You, what pages You visit on these sites, what products or services You view. Similarly, Our partners may use a Cookie to determine whether We’ve shown an ad and how it performed, or provide Us with information about how You interact with ads. We may also work with a partner to show You an ad which is relevant to You.
      • Similarly, We may use Cookies to show You ads for Our Website once You have left Our Website and are using other websites. Third Party Service Providers may collect information about You, when You use Our Website or other website. For example, if You have searched for a flight from Mumbai to Delhi on Our Website or another non-Blinctrip Website, and We have asked a Third Party Service Provider to show Our ad to individuals that have expressed an interest in travelling to Delhi, the Third Party Service Provider may categorise You within that group and serve You Our advert.
      • Some of the Cookies on Our Website are operated by Third Party Service Providers. We do not control these third parties or their use of Cookies. This means it is not possible for Us to manage these Cookies, which are governed by the privacy policies of the respective Third Party Service Providers.
      • Most web browsers automatically accept Cookies. Of course, by changing the options on Your web browser or using certain software programs, You can control how and whether Cookies will be accepted by Your browser. However, blocking Our Cookies may disable certain features on the Website, and may hinder an otherwise seamless experience to purchase or use certain services available on the Website.

8. Security

   1. The security of Your Personal Information is important to Us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to Us, both during transmission and once We receive it.
   2. In particular, We protect any sensitive Information such as Your credit card/ debit card details and payment information, in encrypted form, in accordance with accepted industry standards. We store Your passwords in an encrypted form, in a non-human readable format to provide protection.
   3. Although We make best possible efforts to store Personal Information in a secure operating environment that is not open to the public, You should understand that there is no such thing as complete security, and We do not guarantee that there will be no unintended disclosures of Your Personal Information under any circumstances.
   4. If We become aware that Your Personal Information has been disclosed in a manner not in accordance with this Privacy Policy, We will use reasonable efforts to notify You of the nature and extent of such disclosure (to the extent We know that information) as soon as reasonably possible and as permitted by law.

9. Your rights

   1. You may withdraw Your consent to submit any or all Personal Information or decline to provide any permissions on Our Website, by writing to Us at privacy@blinctrip.com. In case, You choose to do so then Your access to the Website may be limited, or We might not be able to provide the services to You.
   2. You may access Your Personal Information from Your user account with Us. You may also correct some of Your Personal Information or delete such information (except some mandatory fields) from Your user account directly. Should You require further assistance in correcting/ rectifying Your Personal Information, You may write to Us at privacy@blinctrip.com, and We will endeavour to make the rectification/ correction, wherever feasible.

10. For how long do we retain/ dispose off your personal data

    We retain the User Information We collect for different periods of time depending on what is reasonably necessary for the purposes listed in this Policy. We retain some User Information, including Personal Information, for longer periods of time when necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes, such as security, fraud and abuse prevention, or financial record-keeping for a reasonable period of time as is legally permissible under the laws of India. Where Your Personal Information is no longer required, We will ensure it is either securely deleted or stored in a way which means it will no longer be used by the business.

11. Users accessing the website outside India

    Although Our Website may be accessed from any Country, Your User Information will primarily be processed in India. By agreeing to this Policy, You are providing Us with Your explicit consent to process Your User Information for the purpose(s) defined in this Policy. The data protection regulations in may differ from those of Your country of residence.

    1. This Policy is subject to any terms and conditions, including any limitation of liability, set out in the Terms of Use.
